The Duncanville Fieldhouse is a 150,000 square feet state of the art sports facility and events venue uniquely designed to facilitate a wide array of world class sports and recreational events.
The Fieldhouse hosts tournaments of all types, college and high school leagues, city youth & adult leagues, camps, clinics, team training, and coach’s clinics. It is also available for corporate events, lock-ins and parties.
Joe Pool Lake is a 1,826 acre park managed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. The lake offers visitors a wide variety of outdoor recreation opportunities including bird watching, fishing, jet skiing, and places for a picnic or barbecue. It is located only minutes from Duncanville.
The Museum of International Cultures is the only cultural institution of its kind in Texas, focusing on contemporary peoples and challenges of currently existing communities in remote locations of the world.
Located in Southwest Dallas County, the galleries present exhibits which include interactive videos from Africa, Southeast Asia, Papua New Guinea, South America, China, Mexico, and Native America. In addition, the Museum boasts an extensive drum exhibit accompanied by video and interactive video programming.
The American Airlines Center is one of the nation’s top arenas. Since opening its doors in 2001, the American Airlines Center has been setting the precedent for sporting and live entertainment events.
AT&T Stadium, formerly Cowboys Stadium, is a city-owned 80,000-seat capacity stadium with a retractable roof in Arlington, Texas, United States. It serves as the home of the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. It replaced the partially covered Texas Stadium, which opened in 1971 and served as the Cowboys’ home through the 2008 season. It was completed on May 27, 2009. The facility can also be used for a variety of other activities outside of its main purpose, such as concerts, basketball games, college and high school football contests, soccer matches, and motocross and Spartan races.
Six Flags Over Texas is a 212-acre theme park located in Arlington, Texas, east of Fort Worth and only 18 miles northwest of Duncanville. In addition to rides, there is food; games, shopping, and live entertainment. Two new rides are coming in 2017!
Lone Star Park is a horse racing track and entertainment destination located about 13 miles west of Duncanville just north of Interstate 30 on Belt Line Road in Grand Prairie, Texas. Lone Star Park has two live racing seasons every year. The Spring Thoroughbred Season generally runs from early April through mid-July and the Fall Meeting of Champions generally runs from early September through mid-November. In addition to horse racing, Lone Star Park hosts many different live concerts throughout the season.
Globe Life Park in Arlington is home to the American League’s Texas Rangers, and the Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame. It is located only 19 minutes northwest of Duncanville. This unique complex also includes a four-story office building within the ballpark, a 12-acre lake, and parks and recreation space on the perimeter. In addition to professional baseball, the Park hosts many different special events throughout the year.
The Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery was dedicated and opened for burials on May 12, 2000. The cemetery is situated on a 638.5-acre parcel of land that overlooks picturesque Mountain Creek Lake. The gently rolling hills provide a pastoral setting for visitors as they proceed along the central boulevard to the small lake adjacent to the assembly area and committal shelters.
